HMS Iron Duke

HMS Iron Duke was launched in 1912. It's length was 190 meters and width 27 meters. It's main armament consisted of ten 13,5 inch (340 mm) guns in five turrets. It acted as admiral Jellicoe's flagship in WW1 and took part in Battle of Jutland (Skagerrak). In WW2 it acted as a base ship and anti-aircraft platform, and was heavily damaged in german air-attacks in Scapa Flow naval base. It was broken up for scrap in 1948.
About the model
Kit: Airfix 1:600

Modifications: Added wooden deck, photoetched parts etc.

Notes: Iron Duke was refitted in late 1920's and early 1930's, but my model shows it as it was originally in WW1.
