The Messerschmitt 109 was Finnish Air Forces' best fighter during the war. The first ones (Bf 109 G-2) were received early 1943 and the G-6's in 1944. Alltogether there were 164 Messerschmitt 109's within Finnish Air Forces. Two of them are still seen in finnish aviation museums.

This model shows Finnish Air Force's MT-437, which was flown by Staff Sergeant Leo Ahokas in June 1944. He claimed 12 victories during the war.
